OMG, so I'm kind of trashed, but very excited. Oh, I'll add the pictures later. So, Thomas took me round for tastings this morning. It's kind of an industry secret, but, you get free tastings and a 30% if you are in the wine industry. So, Tom took me to Peju and Mumm. Mumm was the best...sparkling wine. We each had a flight and I got to drink both flights of the sparkling wine, hence the trashed part. Thomas introduced me as the webmaster, which right now I am. So, I can go everyday and go for tastings. Pretty cool. I'll upload the pictures later. I need to go eat some solid food. hehehehe

So, today we went to the St. Helena Farmer's Market and then to The Woodhouse. The Woodhouse specializes in uber fancy chocolates. Ash and I each bought some. We had to tell the girls that it's for adults only. When they selected and package your chocolate the staff wears white gloves.

Thomas ended up going to Napa for a pouring tonight. So, the plan is for Ash & I to have them with champange after the girls go to bed. Oh, the girls must be headed for bed...Ash just handed me a glass of champange. Good night all!

Calistoga & Music in the Park

Today we headed up up north just a little to Calistoga. Calistoga proclaims itself to be more laid back than the other wine country cities. We window shopped and had a nice lunch at a Mexican restaurant.

Calistoga has remade the old railroad station into little shops. Some of the shops are even in the old Western Pacific rail cars.

Ash and I packed a picnic for dinner and we headed down to Music in the Park in St. Helena. We had homemade crab cakes, Ahi tuna steaks, a pineapple and mango salsa, and a bottle of DeTomas Red. It was all really good. The girls ran around, danced, and played on the playground. The band did some covers from Jason Marz to Neil Young. Overall, it was a nice night.

Goat Rock Beach

Today, we went to Goat Rock Beach in Sonoma County. Goat Rock is where the Russian River meets the Pacific Ocean. It's listed one of California's most danergous beaches. There are gaint warning signs everywhere (I forgot to get pictures of them). Despite being the one of the most danergous it's also one of the most beautiful.

We had a picnic near the Russian River. We all needed long sleeve shirts becuase it was about 60 degrees and a little windy.

After, the beach we went to a little coast town and bought some fresh crabs and tuna. We've been eating fresh seafish for dinner. Yum! Both the girls feel asleep on the way back to St. Helena. Hopefully, we'll get to go back before I leave.

We all headed into San Francisco today. Of course, we went over the Golden Gate Bridge.

The plan was to spend the day at the California Academy of Science Museum. http://www.calacademy.org/ It has tons of exhibits to see: aquarium, rainforest, swamp, planeterium, and a lot more. I took a few pictures of the really cute penguins because in most exhibits they request you refrain from photography.

We had a little picnic in Gloden Gate Park before heading back north to the valley. We tired to have a picnic in the Japanese Tea Garden, but they don't allow picnicing. I was surprised how cold it was there compared to Napa. I ended up wearing my sweater around. We were all tired by the end of the trip. In fact, Caitlin was asleep and snoring in the back of car before we even were out of the city.
